Recordable Discs

If you have connected a CD-Recordable drive to your StorPoint CD, users can
copy data to recordable discs, such as CD-R and CD-RW discs. To limit the
number of users, this function can be protected by password.
This section outlines the procedures for using recordable discs with your
StorPoint CD.
The Basic versions of the StorPoint CD do not support writing to


recordable discs.
If you experience problems with writing data to a disc, see "Errors when


Writing Data to a Disc " on page 129.
Follow these steps:
1. Insert a CD-R or CD-RW disc into the CD-Recordable drive.
2. Start the Web browser and enter the IP address of your StorPoint CD in the
location/address field.
The StorPoint CD File View page is displayed.
If you have a CD-Recordable drive connected to your StorPoint CD, the
Recordable Discs button appears in the main menu.
