Enable/disable PAP port authentication
Enables/disables PAP authentication on the specified
ATM channel. PAP authentication must be enabled be-
fore you can enter other PAP information. If you disable
PAP authentication and save the modified settings,
your M11 retains its PAP settings.
set ppp module {vccx} port-authentication pap-option
[on|off]
The first argument identifies the ATM channel (vccx,
x = 1 ... 8). The second argument enables/disables PAP
port authentication.
M11> set ppp module vcc2 port-authentica-
tion pap-option on
Set PAP user name
Defines the name M11 sends in a PAP response packet
on the specified ATM channel.
set ppp module {vccx} port-authentication pap-name
[pap_name]
The first argument identifies the ATM channel (vccx,
x = 1 ... 8). The pap_name argument consists of 1 - 32
alphanumeric characters. The information you enter
must match the PAP username configured in the re-
mote PPP peer's authentication database. Your service
provider will give you the PAP user name.
