Enable/disable RIP receive function
Specifies whether M11 should use Routing information
protocol (RIP) broadcasts to update its routing tables
with information received from other routers on your
network. RIP cannot be activated if address mapping is
ON.
set ip ethernet rip_receive [off | v1 | v2 | v1-compat]
Both RIP version 1 and RIP version 2 functionalities
can be simultaneously activated. v1-compat argument
enables the receiving of both RIPv1 and RIPv2
packets.
M11> set ip ethernet rip_receive off
Enable/disable the management through Ethernet
port
Enables/disables the management of M11 through the
Ethernet port. Note that if you disable management
through the Ethernet port and restart your M11, you can
no longer manage M11 from your local network with
telnet or Web browser.
set ip ethernet restrictions [none|admin-disabled]
The restrictions argument is used to enable/dis-
able management through the Ethernet port. None
means that M11 can be managed through the Ethernet
port and admin-disabled disables the possibility to
manage M11 through the Ethernet port.
m11> set ip ethernet restrictions admin-
disabled
Enable/disable default gateway
Specifies whether M11 should send packets to a default
gateway if it does not know how to reach the destina-
tion host.
set ip gateway option [on|off]
The argument enables/disables the default gateway op-
tion.
M11> set ip gateway option on
