Mitel 3000 Australia Administrator's Manual
If the group is busy a programmable option is provided so that the call can either be rejected or
Call Waiting presented. See the 'Accept on Busy' Option in ISDN programming in the Line
Programming section.
Note: Linear is when calls are always presented to the first available extension in the Group.
Note: Circular is when calls are always presented to the next available extension in the Hunt
Group.
Note: Longest Idle is when calls are presented so that they are evenly distributed to all
extensions in the group. Calls are presented to the free extension with the longest time interval
after handling an incoming call.
Example of Call Handling with a Hunt Group:
Three extensions are required in a Hunt Group and calls to this group to go to voice mail if the
last extension to ring does not answer.
The three extensions must be programmed into a Hunt Group. Then programme this group
with a voice mailbox. Programme a Line to call this Hunt Group. The timers Divert No Answer
(15 seconds) and Hunt Group Timer (15 seconds) can be adjusted to suit the group.
The way Mitel 3000 will handle this call is:
The call will ring first extension on the group. When the Hunt Group Timer expires it will go to
the second extension on the group. When the Hunt Group Timer expires again it will go to the
third and last extension on the group. The divert on no answer will apply and the call will go to
the mailbox for that Hunt Group.
Note: When a Standard Phone has been assigned to multiple hunt groups, the code to log
in/out of individual hunt groups is 723 followed by the group number (180-199).
