Mitel 3000 Australia Administrator's Manual
The 'Quick spell' method of entering names is used.
If the user does nothing, no digits are detected, the message is replayed after a 5 second
delay. If no digits are entered after a further 5 seconds the call is presented to the destination
set in the Incoming Ringing programming for the line. See Page 56.
If * is dialled the Auto attendant message is played.
When the user enters the name followed by # the extension name is played followed by the
following message:
'If this is correct press #. For the previous name in the directory press 1, to hear the next
directory name press 2, to spell a new name press 3, to exit the directory press star'.
If no name is programmed the following message is played:
'Extension XX (thirty six as an example). If this is correct press #. For the previous name in the
directory press 1, to hear the next directory name press 2, to spell a new name press 3, to exit
the directory press star'.
If there are no names Programmed in the Directory the call is presented to the destination set
in the 'Incoming Ringing' programming for the line.
If the user does nothing for 5 seconds the call is presented to the destination set in the
'Incoming Ringing' programming for the line.
When digits are dialled and # is not entered within 5 seconds the following message is played:
'(Recorded name). If this is correct press #. For the previous name in the directory press 1, to
hear the next directory name press 2, to spell a new name press 3, to exit the directory press
star'.
When the user dials # after the prompt the selected extension is rung.
If there are no names in the directory the call is presented to the destination set in the
'Incoming Ringing' programming for the line.
If # is not dialled within 5 seconds the extension name (or number) is repeated and the
message is again played.
If # is not selected within a further 5 seconds the call is presented to the destination set in the
'Incoming Ringing' programming for the line.
If 1 is pressed the previous name in the directory is played followed by the message prompting
the user to press # if the name is correct. The user can repeatedly press 1 to step back
through a number of names.
If 2 is pressed the next name in the directory is played followed by the message prompting the
user to press # if the name is correct. The user can repeatedly press 2 to step forward through
a number of names.
If 3 is pressed the message 'Using the keys on your telephone please spell the last name of
the person and then press #. For Q press seven for Z press 9. To exit the directory press star'
is played again.
If * is pressed the caller is presented back to the Auto-Attendant and the Auto-Attendant
greeting is played.
Note: Although the names are entered using the code 2 for A, 22 for B etc the matching is
done using 2 for A, B and C, 3 for D, E and F etc.
