The reload Privileged EXEC mode command reloads the operating system.

Privileged EXEC mode.
User Guidelines
Caution should be exercised when resetting the device, to ensure that no other activity is being
performed. In particular, the user should verify that no configuration files are being downloaded at the
time of reset.
Example
The following example reloads the operating system.
Console# reload

hostname

The hostname Global Configuration mode command specifies or modifies the device host name. Use
the no form of the command to remove the existing host name.
Syntax
hostname name
no hostname
name — The device host name. Range (1-158 characters)
