description

The description Interface Configuration mode command adds a description to an interface. Use the no
form of this command to remove the description.
Syntax
• description string
• no description
• string — Comment or a description of the port up to 64 characters.
Default Configuration
By default, the interface does not have a description.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode.

The following example adds a description to the Ethernet g5.
