the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power
cord from the system or wall outlet.
To maintain proper system cooling, if you do not install a device at this location, you must
install the provided filler blank.

Installing a Slimline Optical Drive

Note: The hardware necessary to install your optical drive was shipped to you in a bag labeled
"CD-ROM Assy".
1. First time installation only: Remove the knockout in the bezel that corresponds to
the opening for the optical drive by rocking it back and forth (see letter "A" in the
following figure). You cannot reinstall the knockout. Pull out on the black lever and
slide the carrier from the server system (see letter "B").

2. Attach the brackets to the optical drive using the four screws as shown in the
following figure.
