Adjusting Backrest Angle - Invacare Modulite User Manual

The sling back is only available in two widths of 38-43 cm and
48-53 cm and, under certain circumstances, must be replaced
for a width adjustment. For a replacement description, see the
service manual for this power wheelchair. The service manual
can be ordered from Invacare. However, they contain
instructions for specially trained service technicians and
describe operations that are not intended for the end user.
Note that if the sling back width is adjusted the backrest
cushion must also be replaced.
5 mm Allen key

1. Loosen and remove screw A.

CAUTION!
Every change to the seat angle and the backrest
angle alters the geometry of the power wheelchair
and affects its dynamic stability

CAUTION!
Risk of falling out of the wheelchair
When adjusting the backrest, it might move backward
unexpectedly and you might fall out of the wheelchair.
— Do not rest against the backrest while adjusting it.
If the backrest is fitted with knobs instead of Allen screws, you
do not need tools.
