Synchronous Port Table
B-28
The Synchronous Port Table contains an entry for each of the synchronous data
ports and the COM port when the port is configured for synchronous operation.
For this unit, entries in the table that are counters (rs232SyncPortEntry 3–7) are
used to collect statistics only and are not supported. Clarification for objects
contained in this table as it applies to the unit is provided below.

Description
rs232SyncPort
Specifies the clock source

for the port.
(rs232Sync

rs232SyncPort
Specifies whether this

device interface is a DTE or

rs232SyncPort
Specifies the bit encoding

uses.

and DTR cannot be
represented.
rs232SyncPort
Specifies the interval (in

milliseconds) that the DTE
(rs232Sync
must wait after RTS is

asserted before it can
assert CTS.
rs232SyncPort
Specifies the port's mode of

rs232SyncPort
Specifies the minimum

Setting/Contents
Supports only the following values:
internal(1) – The port uses an
internal clock.
external(2) – The port uses an
external clock.
Supports only the following value:
dce(2) – The port acts as a DCE.
Supports only the following values:
nrz(1) – The port uses non-return to
zero encoding.
nrzi(2) – The port uses non-return to
zero inverted encoding. Corresponds
to when the transmit and received
data are inverted.
Supports only the following values:
controlled(1) – For user data ports,
this value is used when the port is
configured for RTS or Both. Setting
this value is equivalent to configuring
the port for RTS.
constant(2) – For user data ports,
this value is used when the port is
configured for DTR or None. Setting
this value is equivalent to configuring
the port to None. This is the only valid
value for the COM port.
Supports only the following value:
0 – The port does not have to wait.
Supports only the following value:
fdx – The port is full duplex.
Supports only the following value:
2 – The minimum number of flags
supported for all ports on the unit.
