Description
The parameters that are available for configuring AF Filters
depends on the type of filter selected.
Low Pass
When Low Pass is selected, the Audio Low Pass and
De-Emphasis parameters are enabled.
High Pass
When High Pass is selected, the Audio High Pass and
De-Emphasis parameters are enabled.
Band Pass
When Band Pass is selected, the Low Pass Corner
Frequency, High Pass Corner Frequency, and
De-Emphasis parameters are enabled.
Psophometric
When Psophometric is selected, the Psophometric
(Weight) and De-Emphasis parameters are enabled.
A low-pass filter (LPF) passes signals with a frequency lower
than a selected cutoff frequency. The Audio Low Pass filter
selects the highest frequency that is allowed to pass through
the AF filter; frequencies above the selected frequency are cut
off.
A high-pass filter (HPF) passes signals with a frequency higher
than a selected cutoff frequency. The Audio High Pass filter
selects the lowest frequency that is allowed to pass through the
AF filter; frequencies below the selected frequency are cut off.
Audio Band Pass enables the low pass and high pass corner
frequency fields which allow the user to define a frequency
band to allow signals within a certain frequency band to pass,
while blocking signals with frequencies on the outside of the
band.
Low Pass Corner Frequency
The Low Pass Corner Frequency defines the lower end of
the frequency band filter. Any signal that is detected that
falls below this frequency is filtered out of the incoming
signal.
High Pass Corner Frequency
The High Pass Corner Frequency defines the upper end of
the frequency band filter. Any signal that is detected that is
above this frequency is filtered out of the incoming signal.
