3.9 Analog scale = auto

If SCALE = auto is programmed, the system automatically calculates the range value of the
analog scale based on the programmed values of the tolerance limits.
NOTE
If SCALE = auto is programmed, the interval UpperTOL-LowerTOL must be
> 9 micron if the programmed digital display resolution is low (M.RESOL = low)
> 1 micron if the programmed digital display resolution is high (M.RESOL = high)
The programming of SCALE = auto implies that the tolerance center is always positioned in the
central led of the analog display, and the tolerance limits are respectively positioned on left and
right side of the tolerance center for both unilateral (e.g. 0 / + 0,015 mm ) and bilateral tolerance
range (e.g. es. – 0,010 / + 0,005 mm).
Example:
• UPPER TOLERANCE LIMIT = + 0,045 mm
• LOWER TOLERANCE LIMIT = - 0,015 mm
where:
LTL :
is the led identifying the lower tolerance limit = - 0,015 mm
UTL:
is the led identifying the upper tolerance limit = + 0,045 mm
ZERO:
is the led identifying the zero value
CT:
is the led identifying the tolerance center = + 0,015 mm
If the values of the tolerance limits are symmetrical with respect to zero, the ZERO led
corresponds with the led of the tolerance center.

3.10 Serial output RS232

Through the connector 1 (see Figure 1 on page 33) it is possible to transmit data in serial mode.
For this purpose two different protocol types are available in the Quick Read (Standard OPTO-
RS232 and QRbin) for the transmission in ASCII or binary format respectively (variable
COM.MODE).
The former can be sent to a PC, statistical printer, data collector, PLC; the latter to a PC, PLC or
to a BCD interface.
If the ASCII data format is selected for the serial transmission to a PC, the transmission
parameters can be choosen among the following ones:
BAUD = 1200; 2400; 4800; 9600
PARITY = e, 7, 1 / o, 7, 1 / e, 8, 1 / o, 8, 1 / n, 8, 1
STR.END = cr / cr + lf
