TARGETS
The architecture of the protocol has the following targets:
To allow the user to transfer the information on serial lines in a bi-directional way (i.e.
RS232 standard), according to a "multidrop" network architecture, where the Host
(Personal Computer, Data Collector, Statistical Printer) is connected to various QuickRead
stations.
To draw a compact and efficient software for serial communication drivers.
To manage only messages, string type, with ASCII characters ending with the carriage
return (CR).
