8. Machine Leveling
※ Machine Leveling
As machine leveling has a direct effect on the precision of the machine, it is generally
accepted that machine leveling is done along with the machine precision work. However,
special care must be taken.
▪ Preparations: Magnetic Square Level (150×150, x2), Square (rectangle 320×320), Test
8.1 Preparations for the leveling
1) Remove the bush from the level bolt
① Remove all the anchor nuts from the level bolts.
② Remove all the bushes from the level bolts (on the foundation work units) before
proceeding with the temporary installation.
③ Then, insert the washers only and tighten the nuts half the way.
④ Loosen the nuts on the level bolts by 2~3 turns.
2) Tighten the level bolts on both column bed and table bed by applying even force to each
of them.
▪ This is required so that each of the level bolts contacts on the level block
simultaneously as possible.
3) Remove all the blocks that take place for the temporary installation.
