Save and Help Functions

The save and help functions can be accessed at most any time by touching
their corresponding function button. These functions are described below.
User's Manual
Modem Comms. Opens the Modem Comms screen where
many of the functions of the Teledyne Benthos acoustic
telemetry modems can be operated, including the wakeup of
compact acoustic telemetry modems.
Modem Config. Opens the Modem Config screen where the
settings of the local and remote acoustic telemetry modems can
be configured. The local modem is the UDB-9000. The remote
modem is any modem that it is configured to communicate with.
Display. Opens the Display screen where display contrast and
brightness can be adjusted, the touch and error beeps enabled
or disabled, and the COM1 and COM2 serial port settings
configured. This screen also allows the updating of the touch
screen and the UDB-9000 modem function firmware.
Save. Saves all of the current configuration settings. When the
deck box is turned off and then on again, the configuration
settings are unchanged and the screen last opened appears.
Help. Opens the Help screen which provides content sensitive
help for many of the operator functions of the UDB-9000. An
example of help for the Release/Range screen is shown in
Figure 4-3. When the Help screen is active, none of the touch
screen controls outside of the Help screen can be operate. To
view hidden text, touch and drag the scroll bar up or down.
