8. One at a time, slide
each battery part way
into the electronics
chassis and connect the
wires to the battery
terminals.
For the battery on the left
side of the deck box,
which is the one shown
in Figure 6-6, connect
the red/white wire to the
black battery terminal
and the red wire to the
red terminal.
For the battery on the
right side of the deck
box, connect the black
wire to the black terminal
and the red wire to the red terminal.
9. Again rest the bottom of
the electronics chassis
over the edge of a table,
one side of the chassis
at a time, and then insert
and securely tighten the
six battery bracket
mounting screws.
10. Examine the gasket
inside the case. Be sure
it is free of any debris or
obstructions as shown in
Figure 6-7.
