In FT1020G3 front membrane, the push button "SILENCE ALARM" (P2) in the fire brigade
panel can be used to silence the warning devices, refer to Figure 3 page 18.
When the alarm devices are activated and the push button "SILENCE ALARM" is pressed
during a pre-warning, a fire alarm
The symbol
Activated outputs programmed for OWS or sounders (any warning device type
"Alarm devices"), will be silenced.
In case of a new alarm or if the push button "SILENCE ALARM" is pressed again, the fire
alarm devices will automatically re-sound.
In EBLWin (system properties), the optional check box "Silence alarm devices disable
alarm devices" cannot be used in the Australian convention as this is a violation to
AS4428.3.
In the NZ convention, the function is already implemented in the firmware i.e. not required.
The "FIRE" LEDs will indicate steady instead of blinking when the alarm devices are
disabled.
