Printer Option
As of firmware version V2.4.9 onwards, the printer option on the FT1020G3 has be
converted into a serial data interface in the Australian Convention. This feature provides
the panel with the capability to output serial bit stream data via a selection of either RS232
or RS485 interface.
The serial interface module is designed to send out the alarm messages from the
FT1020G3 FDCIE via a fully isolated serial connection. Connection is made to the FDCIE
via the printer terminal on the 5015 MMI board using the supplied cable loom CA332. The
output is required to be enabled via EBLWin by enabling the printer option.
The serial interface PCB is shown in Figure 6 below. For detailed information, please refer
to the Technical Datasheet TDS069 for detailed information on the serial interface module.
