Removing the starter
Detaching the starter
• Unscrew the mounting bolts (1)
• Remove the starter (2) from the ywheel housing
Attaching the engine barring gear
• Remove the cap with seal and TDC marking plate
from the ywheel housing
• Attach the Engine barring gear [3]
ywheel housing
• Turn the engine through 360° with
and check the starter ring gear for wear
Installing the starter
Detaching the engine barring gear
• Remove the
ywheel housing
• Attach the TDC marking plate
• Attach the cap with new seal on the ywheel
housing
Attaching the starter
(1) to the
• Insert the starter (2) into the ywheel housing
