Removing the vibration damper
Attaching the engine barring gear
• Remove the cap with seal and TDC marking plate
from the ywheel housing
• Clean the sealing surfaces
• Mount and lock the Engine barring gear [124]
Unscrewing the mounting bolts
• Unscrew two opposite mounting bolts (1) and (2)
Screwing in the aligning tools
• Screw in the Aligning tool [123]
Pulling off the vibration damper
(1)
• Unscrew the remaining mounting bolts (1)
• Pull off the vibration damper (2)
• Unscrew the
(1) and (2)

CRANK MECHANISM
CAUTION
Danger of injury due to heavy
components and removal and
installation position that is difcult
to access
• Use the lifting device or lift off with
support
