Removing the thermostats
Removing thermostats
• Unscrew the mounting bolts (4)
• Remove the thermostat housing upper section (3)
• Remove the thermostats (2) with sealing rings (5)
• Remove the seal (1)
• Clean the sealing surfaces
Detaching the thermostat housing lower section
• Mark the installation position of the mounting bolts
(1) and (2)
• Unscrew the mounting bolts (1) and (2)
• Remove the thermostat housing upper section (5)
• Remove the O-rings (3) and (4)
• Clean the sealing surfaces
Installing the thermostat
Attaching the thermostat housing lower section
Note
O-rings are secured with
compound
slipping.
• Clean the sealing surfaces
• Apply a thin coat of
the contact surfaces of the O-rings (3) and (4) in
the thermostat housing lower section
• Insert new O-rings (3) and (4) in the thermostat
housing lower section (5)
• Put on the thermostat housing lower section (5)
• Screw in the mounting bolts (1) and (2) as marked
and then tighten them
Installing the thermostats
• Clean the sealing surfaces
• Fit a new seal (1)
• Insert the thermostats (2) with new sealing rings
(5)
• Put on the thermostat housing upper section (3)
• Screw in and tighten the mounting bolts (4)
