2.13 Lower the thermocouple into the well so that it
presses lightly against upper surface of the
solid Tin.
CAUTION: The thermocouple must be touch-
ing the Tin.
2.14 Press ENTER to heat the Tin. The tempera-
ture will increase as the Tin is heated. The
screen will display "Please wait" while the Tin
is heated. (If the thermocouple is already
inserted into the Tin, proceed to step 2.17.)
2.15 Adjust the COOLING FLOW to the center
of the green range (this corresponds to
38 +/- 8 L/h).
2.16 The temperature will increase to 262°C and
then the heater will turn off automatically. At
this time the screen will display the prompt
"INSERT THERMOCOUPLE".

NOTE - If the depth of the Tin is not at least 5 mm,
refill the well with a new charge of Tin pellets in
accordance with the instructions in ROUTINE
MAINTENANCE in the Maintenance Manual.
Restart the AUTOCAL TC procedure.
2.17 Press ENTER to find the freezing point
2.18 The JFTOT will begin LOOKING for the
