2. I
NSTALLATION

2.1 INSTALLATION

Place the tester on a level laboratory bench. Allow
ready access to the rear of the tester for normal
maintenance and service requirements. Ensure that
the vent on the right side of the cabinet in not ob-
structed. Provide adequate ventilation and use proper
procedures for handling solvents and hydrocarbons.
2.1.1 Space Requirements
• Minimum bench space: 130 cm wide (front)
by 90 cm high by 65 cm deep
• Cabinet Size: 77 cm wide by 88 cm high by
52 cm deep, plus clearances: 6 cm in front
for knobs, and 15 cm on right side for fan.
• Mounting feet: 72 cm wide by 35 cm deep
• Printer size: 38 cm wide

2.2 COMPONENTS

2.2.1 JFTOT cabinet
See Figure 2.1 for front view of cabinet; see
Figure 2.2 for rear view of cabinet.
2.2.2 Accessory Components
Accessory components provided that are not
attached to the JFTOT cabinet are packaged in
boxes, (see Figure 2.3).

3. Heater tube test section
4. Sliding scale assembly
5. Thermocouple
6. Time Reactor Section (240 only)
