SHUTDOWN

The test ends when the Test Timer = 0:00 or other-
wise terminated. The heater and drive pump will turn
off automatically. After a test has finished and the
drive pump has turned off, remove the beaker from
underneath the drip line and replace with another
container. The beaker contains the volume of water
displaced by the fuel pumped during the test. An
alarm will sound to signal that the test has finished.
Regardless how the test ends, a save test information
message will appear asking whether to delete or save
the test data. Touch EXIT to delete the data or any
other key to save it. If saved, the test data is stored
in memory so it can be viewed and printed later from
the VIEW TEST HISTORY menu. After the test
data is either saved or deleted, the MAIN MENU is
displayed.
• If power to the JFTOT is switched off before the
test data is saved (or deleted) the data becomes a
"test fragment." After the JFTOT power is
switched ON, there is one chance to print this "test
fragment." The test data in the "test fragment"
cannot be saved in memory or viewed; see section
3.2 Main Operations.
• If the test ends when the Test Timer = 0:00 normal
termination), an end of test message is displayed.
Press any key to display the save test information
message. Press EXIT if you do not want to save
the test information. The display will prompt you to
vent the system pressure. Slowly turn the top
FLOW CONTROL SELECTOR VALVE to the
SYSTEM VENT position. When the system
pressure drops below 50 psig, the drive pump will
start down automatically and the MAIN MENU
will be displayed.
• To request a manual termination of a test press
EXIT. A message will appear asking if the test is
to be terminated. Press EXIT to terminate the test,
and display the save test information message, or
press any other key to return the TEST RUN-
NING display and continue the test.
NOTE - a manual termination is classified as an
abnormal termination.
JFTOT II Operation Manual Rev. C
• If an abnormal problem is detected by the JFTOT,
the test is terminated automatically. A message is
displayed explaining why the test was terminated.
Then the save test information message will appear
allowing any data to be saved.
NOTE - If the test is abnormally terminated (or
any error message appears) the drive pump will
not descend automatically. You will be asked if
you want to bring the drive pump down.
