3.4 SHUTDOWN

1. Test ends when the Test Timer = 0:00. The
heater and drive pump will automatically turn off.
A message will be displayed indicating the test
has finished. An alarm will sound to alert the
operator that the test has ended. Press a key to
silence the alarm.
2. Remove the beaker and place another container
under the drip tube.
3. A message will be displayed asking whether or
not to save the test information. Press any key
except EXIT to save the test data.
NOTE - Test number 8 is used as an example in
the following displays.

4. A message will be displayed to vent the system
pressure below 0.35MPa (50 psig).
5. Slowly turn the FLOW CONTROL SELECTOR
VALVE to the SYSTEM VENT position.
6. The pressure will drop. When the pressure is less
that 50 psig, the drive will descend automatically.
After the test data is saved (or not saved), the
MAIN MENU is displayed.
NOTE – If the test is abnormally terminated (or
any error message appears) you will be asked if
you want to bring down the drive pump down. It
will also require you to vent pressure below
0.35MPa (50psig).
