Regolatore raddrizzatore
Il regolatore raddrizzatore è costituito
da un corpo esterno di alluminio
contenente i diodi per raddrizzare la
corrente prodotta dal generatore.
Contiene inoltre un dispositivo
elettronico che regola la corrente
erogata dall'alternatore in funzione
della tensione della batteria. Se la

batteria è scarica, la corrente ha il
valore necessario per ripristinare le

ottimali condizioni operative
dell'accumulatore stesso.
Diversamente se la batteria è carica la
corrente ha un valore più basso.
ricarica utilizzando lo strumento di
diagnosi "DDS", seguendo le
indicazioni riportate al paragrafo
"Controllo corrente impanto di

ricarica" (Sez. D 5).
Smontaggio regolatore
raddrizzatore
Per la rimozione del regolatore di
tensione è necessario rimuovere il
suporto batteria e scollegare il
cablaggio del regolatore di tensione
(Sez. M 3).
Svitare le viti (1) che fissano il
regolatore di tensione (2) al supporto
batteria (3).
Recuperare i dadi (4) e rimuovere il
regolatore (2).
batteria a motore avviato, poiché il
regolatore verrebbe
irrimediabilmente danneggiato.
Rimontaggio regolatore
raddrizzatore
Posizionare il regolatore sul supporto
batteria (3).
Fissarlo con le viti (1), inserendo
dietro i dadi (4) di bloccaggio.
Bloccare le viti (1) alla coppia
prescritta (Sez. C 3).
Ricollegare il connettore del
regolatore di tensione al cablaggio e
rimontare nel motoveicolo il supporto
batteria (Sez. M 3).

Rectifier - regulator
The rectifier-regulator consists of an
aluminium casing containing the
diodes that rectify the current
produced by the alternator. It also
contains an electronic device that
regulates the current supplied by the
alternator in accordance with battery
voltage. If the battery is drained,
the current has the value necessary
to restore optimum operating
conditions of the battery. In contrast,
if the battery is already charged, the
current value will be lower.
Notes
Check the charging current
using the DDS tester, following the
instructions given under the heading
"Checking the charging system
current" (Sect. D 5).
Removing the rectifier -
regulator
To remove the rectifier – regulator,
first remove the battery mount and
disconnect the regulator cables
(Sect. M 3).
Undo the screws (1) securing the
regulator (2) to the battery mount (3).
Recover the nuts (4) and remove the
regulator (2).
Important
Do not disconnect battery
cables when engine is running
because this would cause irreparable
damage to the regulator.
Refitting the rectifier -
regulator
Fit the regulator to the battery
mount (3).
Secure it with the screws (1),
inserting the nuts (4) from behind.
Tighten screws (1) to the prescribed
torque (Sect. C 3).
Reconnect the regulator connector
to the wiring harness and reinstall the
battery mount to the vehicle
(Sect. M 3).
