La geometria di sterzo per uso
stradale (S) è la seguente:
angolo cannotto (αS)
24°30'
avancorsa (aS)
97 mm
Per l'uso su pista (P) è la seguente:
angolo cannotto (αP)
23°30'
avancorsa (aP)
91 mm.
Rimuovere l'ammortizzatore di sterzo
ed il martelletto (Sez. H 3) ed
allentare la vite (4) sulla testa di
sterzo.
Per modificare l'inclinazione del
cannotto di sterzo è necessario
rimuovere gli anelli elastici posti prima
delle viti (1) ed allentarle sul lato
destro del telaio.

Svitare completamente la vite (2) e,
con la chiave 88713.1037, ruotare
di 180° l'estremità del cannotto (3)
fino a raggiungere l'altro foro.
Riavvitare la vite (2) fino a battuta.
Serrare le viti (1) alla coppia prescritta

(Sez. C 3).

Importante
Mentre si esegue la rotazione
dell'eccentrico mantenere i
semimanubri non completamente
sterzati.
Se avete modificato l'angolo di sterzo,
nel rimontaggio è necessario
riposizionare correttamente
l'ammortizzatore di sterzo (Sez. H 3).
Importante
Per utilizzare la moto su strada
regolare il cannotto sulla posizione
corrispondente a 24°30' di
inclinazione.
Adjusting the steering head
angle
Changing the steering head angle
will not alter the wheelbase of the
motorcycle; it will however, affect the
trail value, this being a key factor in
the handling of the bike.
The steering geometry for road
riding (S) is as follows:
Steering head angle (αS)
24°30'
trail (aS)
97 mm
For track use, (P) should be set as
follows:
steering head angle (αP)
23°30'
trail (aP)
91 mm.
Remove the steering damper and the
peg (Sect. H 3) and slacken off the
screw (4) on the top yoke.
To modify the angle of the steering
head, remove the rings in front of the
screws (1) on the right-hand side of
the frame and loosen the screws
Unscrew fully screw (2) and, with
special wrench part no. 88713.1037,
rotate the end of the steering tube (3)
through 180° round to the other hole.
Fully screw in the screw (2).
Tighten the screws (1) to the
specified torque (Sect. C 3).
Important
While turning the eccentric,
make sure that the handlebar is not
turned to full lock.
If the steering head angle has been
changed, then the steering damper
will have to be repositioned
accordingly (Sect. H 3).
Important
To use the motorcycle on the
road, set the steering head so that it
is inclined at an angle of 24°30'.
