Protected field mode 1/protected field mode 2
Two safe inputs for setting the protected field mode. The CNC or programmable safety
system provides the signal. It is only absolutely necessary to connect the inputs to a pro-
grammable safety system if communication is needed for tool detection.

OSSD = 1: Protected field clear
OSSD = 0: Protected field broken

Two safe outputs that signal the dynamic muting
Mute1/Mute2 = 1: no dynamic muting
Mute1/Mute2 = 0: dynamic muting active

INFORMATION
The inputs for protected field mode have another function during the system
status TEST. They are used for communication with the programmable
safety system. See "Communication with a programmable safety system" in
this section.

TEST. They are used for communication with the safety system. See "Com-
munication with a safety system" in this section.
