exhaust also burns oil that lubricates ex-
haust valve stem.
 Amount of oil consumption is relevant to
oil viscosity, quality, and driving condi-
tions.Driving at high speed, frequent ac-
celeration and deceleration increase oil
consumption. In a new engine, the piston,
piston rings, and cylinder walls are not
broken in, so more oil will be consumed.
Oil consumption: Maximum 1.0L/1000km
When judging the amount of oil consumption,
please pay attention that the thinner oil makes
it difficult to tell the actual oil level.
For instance, if the vehicle keeps running for
short trips, and consumed normal amount of
oil. After more than 1000km, the oil level
shown by oil level indicator does not decrease,
because oil is thinned by fuel and vapor.
When vehicle is running at a high speed, such
as on highway, the thinned oil evaporates. So
after high speed driving, there is always exces-
sive oil consumption.
Importance of Oil Level Inspection
One important thing in vehicle regular mainte-
nance is to keep the oil on its best level so that
it functions well. So, it is very important to
inspect the oil level regularly. Geely suggests
inspecting the oil level every time fuel tank is
refilled.
Notice
If oil level is not inspected regularly,
insufficient oil will cause serious engine
malfunction.

8. Brake System

Tandem master brake cylinder system is a hy-
draulic system with two independent secondary
brake systems. If one of them loses function,
the other one still has secondary braking func-
tion. But it will be more difficult than usual
when depressing the brake pedal, and the park-
ing distance increases, too. At the same time,
brake system warning light is on.
Warning
Do not drive the car when only one
brake system works. The malfunctioned
one must be repaired before driving.
