Part I
Front seat belt pretensioner consists of the follow-
ing components as shown in the illustration below.
1. SRS warning light
2. Front seat belt pretentioner assembly
3. Air bag sensor assembly
Front seat belt pretensioner assembly is con-
trolled by air bag sensor assembly. When the
front seat belt pretensioner is in operation,
noise can be heard and small amount of smoke
like gas can be seen. The smoke is harmless,
neither does it indicate fire. Once the front seat
belt pretensioner is in operation, the seat belt
retractor should be kept locked.
Warning
Do not transform, remove, tap or
open the front seat belt pretensioner as-
sembly, air bag sensor or the wire har-
ness around, otherwise it could result in
abrupt operation of the front seat belt
pretensioner and cause death or bad
injury.
Do not make any change before in-
quiring the Geely service station staff,
for example, change the suspension,
change the body front structure, install
grille protecting device...etc. Such
changes may hinder the front seat belt
pretensioner from working properly.
Cleaning of the Seat Belt
You can use neutral soap water or warm water
to clean the seat belt. Sponge or soft cloth
should be used. During the cleaning, check
the seat belt for excessive wear, damage or
notch.
Warning
Never use stain or bleacher to clean
the seat belt, which could impair the
strength of the seat belt.
The seat belt should not be used be-
fore completely dried.
