12. Seat

All passengers should sit in their seats upright
against the seatback and use the seat belt cor-
rectly during the driving.
Warning
Do not drive the car before the pas-
sengers in the car are properly seated.
Do not sit in the upper part of the folded
seatback, in the trunk or on the cargoes.
In case of emergent brake or unexpect-
ed collision, improper sitting posture or
failure to fasten the seat belt will result
in severe body injury.
During the driving, no passenger is
allowed to stand up or move among the
seats, otherwise it may result in severe
body injury in case of emergent brake
or unexpected collision.
Front Seat—Precautions for Seat Adjustment
Adjust the driver seat to have the pedal, steering
wheel and instrument panel controller positioned
within the range of the easy control of the driver.
Warning
Do not adjust the seat during driving
because the unexpected shift of the seat is
liable to the out-of-control of the vehicle.
When adjusting the seat, do not let the seat
bump down the passenger, luggage or rear seat.
After the seat is adjusted, it should be
slid back and forth to make sure the seat is
locked in place.
After the seatback is adjusted, lean your
body backward to make sure the seatback
is locked in place.
Do not place any object in the seats,
otherwise it may affect the seat lock mecha-
nism or pull the seat position adjustment
lever upward by accident, resulting in out-
of-control of the vehicle.
 When adjusting the seat, do not put your hand
under the seat or near the parts in operation,
otherwise the hand or finger may be pricked.
