1. Engine Description

GEELY MK JL7132U, JL7132HU, JL71512U,
JL71512HU, JL7162U models are equipped with
MR479Q, MR479QA, MR481QA engine series.
Based on the digestion and absorption of the
advanced technologies of the similar domestic
and overseas products, this engine series adopts
BOSCH electronic control multi-port fuel injec-
tion in close-loop control, V-roof combustion
chambers that are compactly structured and of
high thermal efficiency; Non-distributor ignition
system and sequential multi-port fuel injection
managed by ECU. It features in big power, low
back pressure, small size, easy to start, economy
in fuel consumption, high RPM, slight vibration
and noise, stableness, and good acceleration, and
is a domestic vehicle-oriented engine of high per-
formance and leading technology .
MR479Q, MR479QA.and MR481QA are in-line,
water-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, 16V, cross-
flow intake/exhaust engines. The valve train
uses timing tooth belt which seamlessly engages
camshaft to drive the gears. The exhaust system
is equipped with oxygen sensor and dual three-
way catalytic converters to meet national engine
emission and noise standards. There is one more
thing worth mentioning, with M7.9.7 electrical
controlled fuel injection system and ignition tech-
nology from Bosch Germany, vehicle emission
has reached GB 18352. 3-2005 China III (EURO
III) standard.
