Keep the engine in good condition.

Malfunction of engine electrical system,
electric ignition/distributor ignition sys-
tem or fuel feeding system will result in
abnormally high temperature of catalytic
converter.
If the engine is hard to start or stalls

often, inspect the vehicle immediately.
Mechanics from Geely service station are
familiar with the vehicle and its three-way
catalytic converter system.
To ensure the function and operation

status of catalytic converter and the whole
exhaust control system, maintain the ve-
hicle regularly according to Geely Vehicle
Maintenance Program.

5. Spark Plug and Air Cleaner

Spark Plug
Engine technical specification requires using
soft spark plug with resistance value only,
resistance value:R=5-10 KΩ
type: K6KTC or K7RFC-11 (JL481Q, MR4812A)
Spark plug works in complicated conditions, it
is impossible to eliminate plug soot complete-
ly. When the soot impacts function, it must be
removed immediately.
Replace Spark Plug
1. Unscrew and remove the spark plug.
2. The correct clearance between primary
electrode and side electrode of MR479Q,
MR479QA is 0.8±0.1mm; and 1.0±0.05mm
for MR481QA, JL481Q . If the insulator
is found tanned in the front with no stains,
in maintenance, the spark plug is working
well.
3. Do not let dirt or other foreign material
drop into spark plug holes. Measure spark
plug gap with gage, and bend the negative
electrode to get the correct clearance when
necessary.
4. The recommended spark plug is multi-
point spark plugs. Multi-point spark plugs
improve ignition capability and reliability,
improve emission and extend the useful
life of electrode.
5. Tighten the spark plug
6. Connect spark plug wires in ignition se-
quence.
