Jump Starting
In order to avoid severe body injuries and ve-
hicle or electrical parts damage due to battery
explosion, sulfuric acid corrosion and electri-
cal burning, the instructions below should be
followed.
If you don't know how to do it, it is strongly
recommended that you seek help from the ca-
pable mechanic or towing companies.
Notice
The charging Battery must be 12V. Do
not perform jump starting before making
sure that the charging battery is correct.
Warning
Since the battery contains corro-
sive and poisonous sulfuric acid fluid,
you have to wear safety glasses and be
careful not to splash the sulfuric acid
fluid on the skin, clothes or vehicle
body at the time of jump starting.
If you are careless to have your
body or eyes touched with sulfuric acid
fluid, you have to immediately take
off the clothes touched with sulfuric
acid fluid and wash the eyes with clean
water and then go to see the doctors
right away. On the way to hospital, if
possible, clean the eyes with sponge or
towel dipped with water.
If there is open flame or spark
nearby, the explosion will take place
when the battery emits gas. Jump
cable of standard type shall be used
for jump starting and smoke or use of
match is prohibited.
Jump Starting Procedure
1. When the charging battery is installed on
another vehicle, you have to make sure
that the vehicle is not touched and close all
dispensable lights and auxiliary devices.
When charging, use the matching battery or the
one of higher quality, any other battery may
result in difficult jump starting. If you have dif-
ficulty in jump starting, charge the battery for a
few minutes.
2. If the engine of the vehicle with charging
battery does not run, you can start it and
run it for a few minutes. During the jump
starting, depress the accelerator pedal
slightly and run the engine at 2000r/min.
