You can only use brake pedal or park
brake to stop the car uphill. Do not depress
the accelerator pedal to prevent the car
from reversing, otherwise it could result in
overheated transmission.
When stopping the car with engine on,
you must keep the brake pedal depressed to
prevent slides.
(i) Towing
The automatic transmission can be locked in-
ternally when it is engaged in P range, if the
driving wheels are towed at that time, the lock
mechanism inside the transmission connected
with the driving wheel will be towed, resulting
in serious damage. Therefore, It should be set
to "N" range in case of towing due to fault. In
case of towing due to peccant park, the driving
wheels should be lifted up before towing.
Notice
If the driving wheel is not lifted up, the
towing speed should not be more than
50Km/h and the towing distance should
not be more than 50Km.
(j) Automatic transmission fluid refilling
specification
1. Type: DEXRON Ⅱ or DEXRON Ⅲ .
2. The refilling volume of ATF is 3.2L.
3. Start the engine after refilling the ATF,
set the shift selector in each gear range
and hold it for a few seconds to have the
hydraulic torque converter and all shift ac-
tuators filled with the fluid, and finally set
the shift selector to parking position ("P").
When the temperature of the transmission
is 65-75 ℃ , check that the oil level should
be between the third to fourth orifice of the
oil level indicator.
Notice
Do not shift the control lever back
and forth among the "D", "2", "L" ranges
during driving if not specially required. It
is especially prohibited to shift the lever to
"N" range (idle) during driving or coast
down the long slope with the lever set to "N"
range.
After the gear is engaged, you should
not depress the accelerator in force im-
mediately. Also, within the moment of
automatic shift-up or shift-down of the
automatic transmission, the accelerator
should not be depressed in force.
 In case of normal drive, try to keep the
accelerator opening angle less than 1/2.
