Do not brake when parking brake is frozen.
Shift to "P" (automatic transmission), first or
reverse gears (manual transmission) and stop
the rear wheel when parking. Do not apply
parking brake, or it may be frozen, and hard to
release.
Do not allow ice or snow under mud fender
When ice or snow gathers under the mud fend-
er, there will be difficulty in steering. Often
stop the vehicle to check if there is any snow
or ice under the mud fender when driving in
cold weather.
Take some necessary tools for emergencies
according to different driving condition
It is better to have tire chain, window scraper,
a bag of sand or salt, flashes, shovel, and con-
necting cable in the car.
14. How to Save Fuel Consump-
tion and Extend the Useful Life
of Vehicle
It is simple and easy to save fuel. And it also
helps to extend the useful life of vehicle. Be-
low are some principles of fuel-saving and
maintenance cost saving:
 Keep the correct tire pressure: Insufficient
tire pressure results in tire wear and waste
of fuel.
 Do not add unnecessary weight to the car:
Excessive weight increases engine load,
and fuel consumption.
 Do not idle the engine for a long time
without driving the car: once the engine is
running stably, drive, keep it stable. But
warm up the engine for some time in cold
weather.
 Stable and slow acceleration: Do not ac-
celerate too fast when vehicle just starts
up, upshift to increase speed.
 Do not idle the engine for a long time: shut
off the engine if the vehicle is stopped for
a long time.
 Do not decelerate when engine load is in-
creased, or drive over the speed capability:
Select appropriate shift according to road
surface.
 Do not continuously accelerate and decel-
erate: this driving style wastes fuel.
 Avoid unnecessary stop or brake: Keep ve-
hicle speed stable. Drive according to traf-
fic signs to reduce stops, or drive on roads
where there are no traffic lights. Keep
appropriate distance from the vehicle in
the front to avoid emergency brake, which
reduces wear of the brake.
 Keep appropriate vehicle speed on high-
way: high fuel consumption at high speed.
Drive at medium speed to save fuel.
