2. Break-In Period

Drive steadily instead of fast.
Break-in of the new engine is aimed to im-
prove the surface quality, friction and wear
status of the moving parts, extend their service
lifetime and save fuels. After purchasing a new
car, the user should follow the instructions
below to break in. The break-in mileage is
1000km. Follow the simple instructions below
during the initial use.
1. Inspect exterior fasteners, battery, lubri-
cant, coolant, and gasoline thoroughly.
2. When starting and driving the vehicle,
avoid having the accelerator pedal fully
depressed, keep engine speed under 3000r/
min, and limit the maximum vehicle speed
under 80km/h.
3. Drive the vehicle only on flat roads and
avoid muddy or sandy roads during the
break-in period.
4. Avoid racing the engine.
5. Avoid emergent brake within the first
300km.
6. Do not drive too slowly when manual
transmission is in an upper gear range.
Drive at appropriate speed.
7. Check water pump belt, timing tooth belt,
valve clearance, fasten cylinder head and
intake/exhaust manifold bolts, and replace
oil filter and oil lubricant after break-in.

3. Fuel

Fuel type: this engine can only run with
GB17930 compliant, #93 and above lead-free
gasoline. It is recommended to use the fuel
conforming to "National III" exhaust standard.
The rated volume of the fuel tank is 45L.
Notice
Leaded gasoline is not allowed for the ve-
hicle. If leaded gasoline is used, catalytic
converter may lose function, emission
control system will malfunction, and con-
sequently increase maintenance cost.
