Part V. Servicing Precautions

1. Basic Information

In case of normal maintenance and servicing,
original Geely spare parts should be used when
repairing or replacing the parts.
Maintenance on a regular basis is very impor-
tant.
Geely strongly recommends maintaining the
new cars according to maintenance program.
Regular maintenance helps:
 Save fuel
 Extend vehicle useful life
 Enjoy the fun of driving
 Safety
 Stable driving
 Comply with warranty
 Comply with government regulations
Geely car is designed as a compact car requir-
ing few maintenance items. Many items that
were compulsory are no longer compulsory,
or the rules are less strict. To keep best perfor-
mance of the vehicle, a regular maintenance
schedule must be kept.
Where to seek maintenance service?
Geely service station is the ideal place for
maintenance.
Geely mechanics are well-trained profession-
als. They receive regular technical membership
magazines, maintenance skills, and training
hosted by the dealers or agents. Before work-
ing full time, they have finished training at
Geely. They are not learning through working
on your car.
Geely service stations spend a lot of money
on Geely special tools and maintenance equip-
ments. All these are for better work at less cost.
Geely service stations offer reliable, inexpen-
sive, and complete maintenance program for
the car.
What maintenance items can be finished by
the driver?
May maintenance items can be finished by the
driver easily if he/she has mechanical common
sense and some basic vehicle repair tools. For
simple instructions, please refer to Chapter
Six.
Please note, some maintenance items require
special tools and professional technologies.
They should be carried out by qualified techni-
cians. Even if the driver is an experienced tech-
nician, Geely still suggest having the vehicle
maintained at Geely service stations. They will
have good record of the vehicle maintenance,
which is very useful to tell when maintenance
is needed.
