other parts of the vehicle (e.g. removal of
the steering wheel);

wise the air bag system may be wrongly
triggered;
The removal and installation of the parts
such as air bag module, ECU, steer-
ing wheel and clock spring can only be
performed by Geely service station, and
it is required to update related retroactive
information to ensure the traceableness of
the products;
For vehicles with air bag system, it is
prohibited to transform the structure of the
vehicle discretionarily, otherwise the air
bag system may be wrongly triggered or
not triggered at all.
The gas generator in the system is danger-
ous and should be removed or installed by
professionals. Improper installation may
cause it wrongly triggered or not triggered
at all. Therefore, it can only be performed
by Geely service station.
After the air bag system is deployed, the
parts in the middle of the steering wheel
will become very hot and may contain
residual chemicals. Therefore, you have
to avoid contacting these places and use
neutral soap to wash the naked skins after
the system takes effects.
The air bag system is determined based on
the model of the vehicle you own. Change
of suspension, tire size, bumper, chassis or
devices originally assembled by the manu-
facturer will impair the air bag system.
The expansion and shrink of the air bag is
so fast that you can hardly realize how it
happens. It is designed to shrink rapidly
after expansion in order (a) to absorb the
forward impulse of the driver's head, (b)
that it won't block the driver's eyesight or
impair his/her driving capability after the
collision. In addition, there will be some
special smell and smog in the passenger's
seat, this is normal condition, and the gas
generated herein is harmless.
Once the air bag system is deployed, it
should not be reused. For the sake of your
safety, the vehicle should be repaired in
normal way and the air bag system should
be removed completely and replaced with
a new one. Abnormal or little repair of
the damaged parts will impair the air bag
system. Drive your car to a Geely service
station, ask the technician to replace a
brand new complete air bag system for
you and the technician will dispose of the
used air bag system in proper way. If you
don't have your air bag system replaced,
then the risk of body injury will increase
considerably in case of next collision.
