Connecting Point
During the engine starting, do not have the
cable connect or be close to any moving part.
Warning
In order to avoid severe body injury, try
not to touch the battery with any part
of your body or connect the jump cable
to any object other than the right con-
nector of the battery when performing
connection.
4. Start the engine in normal way. After the
engine is started, depress the accelerator
slightly to run the engine at 2000r/min for
a few minutes.
5. Remove the cable carefully in reverse
procedure, remove the negative cable first,
then remove the positive one.
If the battery is not fully discharged (e.g. the
lights remain on), you have to seek help from
Geely service station to have a thorough in-
spection on it.
If the initial start is not successful...
Check whether the clip of jump cable work
properly, use the jump cable to charge the dis-
charged battery for a few minutes then start the
engine in normal way.
If it still fails, it shows that the power of the
battery has been used up and you have to seek
help from Geely service station to have a thor-
ough inspection on it.
Engine Off During Driving
1. Slow down, keep the vehicle straight.
Drive the car carefully off the road and to
a safe place.
2. Turn on hazard warning light.
3. Start the engine again.
If engine does not start, refer to "Vehicle does
not start".
Warning
If engine does not work, brake and
steering assist systems do not work, so,
steering and braking are more difficult
to operate than usual.
