Inspect the interior of compartment. Water
and dust usually gather under the floor mat and
cause corrosion. Inspect the places under the
floor mat, and make sure it is dry there. When
transporting chemicals, cleaner, fertilizer, or
salt, be more careful, and use appropriate con-
tainers. Clean and dry the car once there is any
leak.
Mud flap on wheels. Mud flaps protect the
car when the car is running on roads in salty
area or gravel roads. The bigger, and closer to
ground the flap is, the better. Geely suggest
the flaps, and installation place on the wheel
be anti-corrosion processed. If recommended,
Geely service stations are willing to provide
mud flap installation service for customers.
Park the car in ventilated garage or places with
a roof. Do not park it in humid, unventilated
garages.

2. Washing and Waxing

Washing Geely cars
Wash the car with regular methods.
The following condition may cause paint strip-
off or corrosion in body and other parts. Wash
the car immediately.
 Drive the car by sea.
 Drive on roads covered by anti-freeze mix-
ture.
 Stuck by tar oil, resin, bird shit, or dead
insects.
 Drive in areas full of smoke, coal ash,
dust, rust, or chemicals.
 Car is stained with dirt and mud.
Wash Geely car with hand
Wash the car in shady places when the body
does not feel hot.
Warning
Be careful not to hurt the hands when
cleaning under the floor or chassis.
1. Wash the loose dirt away with water in
hose. Wash away the mud and salt at the
bottom of the vehicle and in dented places
in wheels.
2. Use neutral cleanser to wash the car. Mix
the cleanser according to manufacturer
instruction. Dip the cleanser with soft
cloth. Do not wipe hard. Clean the dirt
with cleanser and water.
Plastic wheel accessories are easily scratched
by organic material. If any mixture is spilled
onto the accessories, wipe it away with wa-
ter and check if the accessories are harmed.
