Part VI
Warning
Please follow the instructions below to
avoid accidents that may cause death or
serious injuries.
Do not use snow tires whose size Geely
does not recommend. Or there will be
operational danger and the vehicle will
lose control.
Install the Snow Tire
Install snow tires on all of the four wheels.
The can loses control if snow tires are only in-
stalled on front or rear wheels, because the dif-
ference between front and rear tire adherence
is too big.
Keep the tire in shady and dry places.
Mark the rotation direction of tires. When
replacing tires, please make sure the tires are
installed in the same direction.
Warning
Do not drive vehicles with incor-
rectly inflated snow tires.
Obey the max allowed speed of local
tire and legal speed limit.
Selection of Tire Chain: Use tire
chains of correct size. The rules of
using tire chain vary according to dif-
ferent area and road type. So confirm
before the chain is installed.
Install the Tire Chain
Install the chain tightly on front wheel. Do not
use tire chain on rear wheel. Tighten the chain
again after the driving of 5 to 10km.
Follow the chain manufacturer's instruction to
install the chain.
Wheel tire cover will be scratched by tire
chain, so please take off wheel tire cover be-
fore installing tire chains.
9. Inspect the Free Play of the
Steering Wheel, Clutch, and
Brake Pedal
Inspect the Steering Wheel Free Play
When the vehicle is in a straight-ahead line
(with car parked), rotate the steering wheel
right and left, and measure its free play on its
outer trim. The steering wheel should have a
certain free play if the steering system is in
normal condition. But the free play should not
exceed 30mm.
Notice
If the steering wheel free play is too big
or there is any other abnormal situation,
the vehicle should be sent to service or
service station for inspection and repair.
The vehicle should not be used any lon-
ger before repair.
