Warning
Do not rest your foot on brake
pedal when driving. This will cause
dangerous overheat, wear and fuel
waste.
 When driving on a long steep slope,
lower speed and downshift. Remem-
ber, depressing the brake too frequent-
ly causes overheat and brake malfunc-
tion.
 Be careful when accelerating, up-
shifting, downshifting or braking on
smooth road surface. Vehicle may
rotate or skid in fast acceleration or
emergency brake.
 Do not drive any more when brake is
wet. If brake is wet, more braking dis-
tance is needed, and the vehicle may
skid aside when brake is applied. At
the same time, parking brake cannot
stop the car either.

13. Winter Driving Tips

Make sure the engine coolant has the correct
anti-freeze protection
It is recommended to use the red glycol cool-
#
ant with the ice point of -40
conforming to
the petrochemical industry standard SH0521
Glycol Coolant for Automobile or Light-load
Engine.
Notice
Do not use water alone. It is forbidden to
mix coolants of different brands.
Inspect Battery and Cable
Cold weather decreases battery energy. So
keep sufficient battery to start in winter. Geely
and other service stations can check if the bat-
tery is charged sufficiently.
Confirm if the oil viscosity is good for
driving in winter
If the engine has a lot of summer oil, it may
experience hard start. If it is difficult to tell
what type of oil is used, ask help from Geely
service station.
Avoid Icing of Car Door Lock
Spray some deicing fluid or glycerin into lock
cylinder of the door to avoid icing.
Use cleanser with anti-freeze
These products are available at Geely service
station and all the auto part stores. Mix the wa-
ter and anti-freeze with the ratio manufacturer
recommends.
Notice
Do not use engine coolant or other fluid
to substitute cleanser or vehicle paint may
be damaged.
