Part VI
Never use old tires on Geely cars.
It is dangerous to use tires from unidentified
sources.
Geely suggests replacing four tires at the same
time or at least both front tires or rear tires.
Please refer to Chapter 3-5. If tire leaks for tire
replacement instructions.
Keep the balance of tires after they are re-
placed.
Unbalanced tires effect the operation of ve-
hicle and useful life of tires. Even in regular
uses, the tires will lose balance too. So inspect
irregularly to balance wheels.
Valve nozzle must be replaced with new ones
when tubeless tires are replaced.
Rotate Tires
To keep the wear of tires even and extend the
lifetime of tires, Geely suggests replacing tires
every 10,000km. But the best time for replace-
ment is determined by driver's driving style
and road condition.
Please refer to Chapter 3-5. If tire leaks for
tire replacement instructions.
Check if there is uneven wear or damage when
rotating tires. Incorrect tire pressure, improper
positioning, loss of wheel balance, or frequent
braking, lead to abnormal tire wear.
Replace Wheels
If bending, cracks, or serious corrosions are
found on wheels when wheels are replaced,
they must be replaced.
If damaged wheels are not replaced, tires may
detach from the wheel and the vehicle will lose
control.
Selection of Wheels
Must replace the wheels with new ones with
the same load, diameter, width, and offset as
the old ones.
Geely service stations are able to re-
place the wheels properly
Different sizes and types of wheels have bad
impacts on operation, life of wheel and bear-
ings, brake cooling, calibration of speed/mile-
age meter, capability of brake-to-stop, head-
light aiming, bumper height, vehicle ground
clearance and distance between tire or tire
chain and body and chassis.
