2.4.2 Installing Multiple Transpector MPH Sensors

Since each Transpector MPH is shipped with the same default IP address, the
IP address of each Transpector MPH must be changed one at a time so that each
sensor has a unique IP address. See

2.4.2.1 Installing Multiple Transpector MPH Directly to a Host Computer

If multiple Transpector MPH sensors are to be connected to a single host computer
and not to an existing local area network, a private local network must be created.
Transpector MPH will have to be installed on either a router or Ethernet switch. The
router or switch is then connected to the host computer through the LAN port of the
router/switch.

2.4.2.2 Installing Multiple Transpector MPH on an Existing Local Network

If multiple Transpector MPH sensors are to be connected to an existing local
network, use an Ethernet switch instead of a router.
NOTE: Routers can cause conflicts with local networks because the router will
