1.16 Hardware Installation

Three pieces of hardware must be installed in the following order:

Install the sensor as explained in

Install the electronics module as instructed in

Install the communications cables from the computer to the electronics module
as explained in
If the optional extension tube heater was purchased with Transpector MPH, see
section 1.20, Installing the Heater Jacket Mount Kit (Optional), on page 1-25
installation instructions.
If the optional Pirani Interlock was purchased with Transpector MPH, see
1.17, Installing the Pirani Interlock (Optional), on page 1-16
instructions.
If the optional HPR Calibration Reference was purchased with Transpector MPH,
see
section 1.18, Installing the HPR Calibration Reference (Optional), on page
1-19
for installation instructions.

1.16.1 Sensor Installation

CAUTION
Do not touch any surface on the vacuum side of the
sensor with bare fingers. If it is necessary to touch any of
these parts, always wear clean linen, nylon, powder free
latex or vinyl laboratory gloves.
Before installing the sensor on your system, check for
any signs of loose or broken parts.
Do not attempt to clean the sensor in any kind of solvent.
Cleaning the sensor requires its disassembly. If the
sensor is contaminated and needs cleaning, contact
INFICON.
