Downstairs
Use stance flexion resistance
•
Stand on a step board between parallel bars
•
Support user at knee and hip
•
Placement of the prosthetic foot:
–
Only the heel is placed on the step board
–
Knee remains extended, load prosthesis
–
Step down with the sound, contralateral side
and allow knee flexion on prosthetic side

Avoid residual limb extension!
