Exercise for yielding
Yielding = Flexion of the knee joint under load against a
hydraulic resistance
Improve trust in stance flexion resistance
1.
Place prosthesis in front and hold onto parallel bars,
support the user
Push in knee flexion direction to get a feeling for the
flexion resistance and the behavior of the knee joint
2.
Repeat the exercise with less support
Let the user push into flexion as far as she/he is able to
stabilize her-/himself
Check if the user is able to get back to hip extension
independently
