Basic exercises
Sitting down motion with a locked knee joint (A,B,B+)
What will happen when the user sits down with an
extended prosthesis?
•
Sit down with the locked knee joint (knee straight)
–
After 1 sec. the knee joint bends automatically
–
Hip flexion angle at least 60°
(= position of the thigh in space)
= Sitting function
If joint does not bend because of hip flexion angle
→ lift thigh until flexion angle is reached
