2-level security
You use the control mechanism of the 2-level access control to control or regulate remote access to a device
and the components connected to it.
To prevent remote access locally is a recommendation from cybersecurity authorities such as the German
BSI, the French ANSSI or the European ENISA.
The 2-level access control corresponds to the recommendations for secure remote access.

Level:
In the switch position "ONL" the mbNET (router)
connects to the Internet.
The remote maintainer now has access to the
router's internal services (web server, data monitor-
ing, etc.). The remote maintenance provider cannot
route into the LAN segment.
2
nd
Level: In the "REM" switch position, the rout-
ing between the remote maintenance and the LAN
segment is enabled. All participants in the LAN seg-
ment can now be reached transparently. By reset-
ting to "ONL", the operator can interrupt remote
maintenance on site at any time.
In the "OFF" position, the connection to the Internet is completely disconnected. The router is offline.
